For councils, community teams and local government
YOU BUILT THE SKATEPARK, THE TRACK AND THE BEACH ACCESS. WE'LL HELP FILL THEM.
Councils spend serious money on skateparks, pump tracks, trails, mountain bike tracks, and beach access. HORNGRY helps turn those spaces into regular sessions, events and a local crew that turns up week after week. We reach the young people and adults who don't join traditional sports clubs, and we get them outside, active and together.
Why action sports
No trials. No kick off time. No membership fee.
Plenty of people will never join a football or netball club. Action sports reach them anyway. You don't need a team, a fixed time or a coach to start. A 12 year old and a 45 year old can ride the same park in the same session. That's why skateparks and trails pull in people other programmes struggle to reach.
Hard to reach young people
Teenagers who've drifted from school sport often stay with skating and riding for years.
All ages together
Parents, kids and older riders share the same space, which is rare in organised sport.
Low cost to start
A secondhand board or bike is enough to start, so cost stops fewer people than in most sports.
Spaces that get used
A regular crew means the facility you paid for is busy, looked after and feels safe.
The problem
Screens are winning.

How we help
Pick what your town needs.
Opening days and launches

Regular community sessions
Weekly or monthly sessions open to everyone, with beginner time and gear to borrow for first timers.
Consultation with real riders
Designing a new facility? We connect you with the local people who'll actually use it, so you build what gets ridden.

Why HORNGRY exists
Built by someone who needed it.
HORNGRY was founded by Brian Smithies, who grew up in the UK care system with a board and a park that didn't ask any questions. HORNGRY is the Home of the Uninvited: a global action sports community for the people who get left out, across Street, Surf, Dirt, Snow and Sky. We work across the UK and Australia.
Safeguarding comes first.
Many of the people at our sessions are young. Every HORNGRY event follows our safeguarding policy, and we work to your council's own requirements for public events on your sites.
