Why we exist
A generation
is disappearing FAST.
Into screens. Into bedrooms. Into silence. The data is brutal and the grown-ups have run out of answers. HORNGRY is the answer we wish we'd had.
The numbers don't lie
This isn't vibes. This is a crisis.

What isolation actually does
It rots from the inside.
Anxiety becomes the baseline
Doomscrolling, comparison, no off switch. A whole generation wired tight and going nowhere.
Depression in the dark
Bedrooms become bunkers. Curtains shut. Hours lost to feeds that take more than they give back.
NO CREW, NO IDENTITY, NO PURPOSE
Without a tribe to belong to, kids invent worse ones online. Or none at all. Both can end badly.
Bodies forgetting they are bodies
Strength gone. Coordination gone. Confidence in physical space, gone. You can't think your way out of that.
The only platform trying to get you off it
WE EXIST TO GET
YOU OUTSIDE.
Not to keep you scrolling.
Every other app on your phone is built to keep you on it. The algorithm, the notifications, the infinite scroll, all of it pushing back the moment you put the phone down. We do the opposite. We use the app to get you off it. It's a bridge to the park, the break, the trail, the mountain, the crew. Not a replacement for any of it.
MOST OTHER PLATFORMS ARE DESIGNED TO:
Keep you scrolling
Infinite feed. Autoplay. No natural stopping points. Every design decision extends your session.
Pull you back in
Engineered notifications timed to maximise re-engagement, not to serve your interests.
Make you compare
Curated highlight reels. Follower counts. Aspiration manufactured to keep you feeling behind.
Sell your attention
Your engagement is the product. Advertisers are the customer. You're the raw material.
HORNGRY is designed to:
Get you to the park
Use us to find your session, find your crew, find your spot. Then put us down. Go ride.
Connect you to real people
Digital tools that lead to real friendships, real crews, real sessions in real places.
Show you what progress looks like
Your progression, not a comparison. Skills, sessions, spots. What you actually did.
Measure time off-platform
We succeed when you're outside. That's not a paradox, it's the entire point of everything we build.

Global action sports market, rising to USD $1,047.42 billion by 2035. The antidote, waiting to be activated

The system failed first
It was never a level playing field.
For most kids the path into action sports is a wall. No skatepark within walking distance. No spare cash for gear. No mentors who came up the same way. No comps unless you already knew somebody.
Care-system kids, working-class kids, kids in the wrong postcode, kids with the wrong accent. The talent's there. The exposure isn't. Sponsorships and stages went to a select few while the rest were told to be grateful for the scraps.
"We're not building a brand. We're building the door we never had."
Brian Smithies, Founder
So this is why
HORNGRY is the antidote.
01
Action
Get off the couch. Get on the board. The body remembers.
02
Adrenaline
Real feelings, earned the hard way. Beats every algorithm.
03
Achievement
A fair stage for the overlooked. No gatekeepers. No fees.
Proving It Works
We don't just believe sport changes lives. We're building the framework to prove it.
From platform launch, HORNGRY tracks three levels of measurement. Activity (sessions, crews, time off-platform), outcomes (wellbeing scores, social connectedness, belonging), and impact (longitudinal cohort data, third-party verified, published annually). We use validated instruments. The Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale and the UCLA Loneliness Scale. So our data stands up to scrutiny. The first formal impact report publishes in 2027. If you want to see the full measurement framework, it's available on request.

The body. The mind. The crew. The skills. The receipts.
